Graduation Requirements
Three credits of science that prepare students for the state assessment are required for graduation. Starting with the Class of 2023, students must take courses that include 28 essential standards designated in the 2018 Arizona Science Standards by the end of their Junior year. Deer Valley Unified School District has created course pathways for students to ensure they receive instruction in the essential standards. Course offerings vary by campus, please contact your student's home school to receive a list specific to their campus.Arizona University Requirements
Three credits of high school lab Science one year each from three of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics (an integrated Science or an advanced Science may be substituted for one required course).
