• I teach Beginning Culinary,  which is the beginning of the learning journey. We are in the classroom 2-3 days a week and in the kitchen lab setting  2-3 days per week. All materials are provided with the exception of closed toe shoes.

We also have a restaurant on site, Avenue 27, which is a fine dining restaurant run by students that are advanced and beginners as well. We are very proud of the fine dining restaurant. Please come and have a meal with us sometime. @Ave.27 on the BGHS website for reservations.

We offer the opportunity in the advanced classes to compete in competitions that can merit scholarship monies for the participating students that win. These are FCCLA and CCAP.  There are many opportunities to learn and advance in this CTE Culinary program.

Check out the CTE section of our district website for more opportunities.

As for myself as a teacher, I have spent most of my years in some form of the culinary industry. I am passionate about showing serious students how to navigate a culinary career. Please see the syllabus on your students' Canvas page to learn more and review expectations. Parental and family support are important to your student's  success and we appreciate you.
