Hello Parents and Students,
Welcome to Ken Slesarik's classroom page. Ken is a special education teacher at Vista Peak working in the 5th-8th grade RAISE program. This is his 27th year teaching. He has taught 14 years at the elementary level and 12 years in high school special education.He has also worked with medically fragile students for fourteen summers during ESY. He was also a driver’s education teacher for many years. Ken especially enjoys Vista Peak's diverse population with its emphasis on community and character. Ken is looking forward to reaching his students to ensure growth and when not teaching or spending time with his family, Ken is a grief educator and writes poetry for children. His poems are published in many books, magazines and anthologies. Ken’s mission is to empower students.
