    Campus Security

All Deer Valley schools have developed comprehensive plans which have been reviewed by local police and fire officials, as well as the district's insurance carrier. In addition, campuses hold regular fire and lockdown drills and have completed tabletop crisis drills with emergency experts.

Gates are locked before and during school hours for the safety of our students and staff. Students in grades K-6 will enter the campus through designated gates on our campus, all supervised by staff members. If your child eats breakfast, they will enter through the front office before 8:30AM, or through the designated open gates after 8:30AM. Pre-K students should not arrive on campus until 8:45AM. and will enter through the front gate near Kindergarten playground. Breakfast students may begin eating in the cafeteria at 8:15AM.

Students should not arrive on campus prior to 8:30 a.m. as there is no supervision until this time.

Parents who are volunteering in the classroom must sign-in at the front office. Parents are not allowed inside the academic building without an appointment with a teacher, or unless they are volunteering. All visitors will be electronically signed in by office staff at the front counter. Please have ID ready. Visitors will be given a visitor’s sticker for events.  At this time there are no visitors during lunch/cafeteria time. Gates will be unlocked at 3:30PM when school dismisses.  Kinder students are released at 3:20PM. Please arrange a designated area outside the gates to meet your child after school. Parents and guardians must remain outside the school gates and not enter the campus. If you wish to talk to your child’s teacher after school, you must sign-in at the front office. Thank you for your help in keeping all children safe.
