2023-24 marks my 33rd year of teaching, and I love it. While attending Arizona State University (go Sun Devils), I completed my student teaching at Desert Sky Middle School. After graduation, I was lucky enough to be hired on there. When Stetson Hills opened, I decided to make the move as it was closer to my house. I could now walk to work-not that I did, but I could if I wanted to.   I opened that school teaching 7^th grade, moved to 8^th grade the following year and then moved to Sandra Day O’Connor with those same students. I love being at the high school level.  These students have so much talent and such a unique perspective on various topics that I learn so much from them.   

     Personally, I have been married for 33 years. We have three wonderful children that have all gone through the Deer Valley District. We love all things Disney and visit Disneyland several times a year. Collecting and selling vintage items is our hobby, and we even own three jukeboxes. Our children have a very diverse knowledge in music. 

      I am looking forward to a wonderful year with fun-filled, relevant and rewarding learning experiences.
