Mrs. Guzman

Hello, 4th Grade Students and Families!

My name is Carlee Guzman and I am the 4th grade ELA teacher at Mirage Elementary. I am originally from Southern California. My husband and I moved to Phoenix three years ago and love to call Arizona home. I graduated from ASU with my B.S. in Family and Human Development and from Hope International University with my Masters in Education.

This will be my fourth year teaching and my first year at Mirage. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I spent two years as a special education aide in California. As a full time teacher, I have taught Kindergarten and Fifth grade and am so excited to be teaching Fourth grade this year. I have always had a love for reading and writing and I’m looking forward to diving into the world of ELA this year!

When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time with my husband, my 5 month old son Paxton, our two pups and the rest of our family that lives here in Phoenix. My husband and I are both very musical and met playing together. My hobbies include: Going to coffee shops, being the number 1 fan at my niece’s and nephews’ sporting events and spending time in the pool!

My goal as a teacher is for students to become the best version of themselves by focusing on a well-rounded student in all aspects. I look forward to coming alongside you and your students this year, because it takes collaboration to see the most success socially, emotionally and academically this school year.
